9. PRECISION

9.1 Repeatability. Two or more runs on the same oil in the same apparatus and

by the same operator should differ from their mean by no more than 0.75 deposit rating.

9.2 Reproducibility. The average values for the same oil obtained on different

apparatus or by different operators (or both) should not differ by more than 0.75 Deposit

Rating.
